NGC's error service is a real treat.

It's awful nice to send the error stuff on a regular invoice alongside non-error coins, and it's also great to send them at no additional charge. I hope the graders got a smile out of this one. I sent a few goofy invoices, and this coin was one of the bunch. There are a few neat finds on the invoices that I'll image when they get home, but this post is really just to say I appreciate the way you indulge hobbyists. wink.gif

I thought that they had to be submitted on a separate invoice. confused.gif

As for the "no additional charge" comment....shhhh. We don't want to give them ideas.

What was the turnaround time like? The last error submission I submitted across the street (several years ago), it took forever to get back. MANY months. I've got some error coins wanting to go to NGC.

Tom,

A long time dealer/error specialist passed away last year, and a friend of mine bought his inventory. This one was tucked in an old album, marked $1. I actually bargained for about 20 pieces. I'll get to see the whole lot soon I trust. wink.gif
