My new registry set

With my new camera I decided to share pictures of some of my coins. A registry set seemed like a good place to do that so that I don't have to host the images myself. I just finished getting all the images in for my Two Cent set.

Of course it's not quite complete yet. I have an 1871 but it's in an ANACS holder.

I think I'll enter my three cent silvers next. I don't have many so it will be another short set. It may be months before I get around to the classic commems. 893whatthe.gif

Nice set. I like the toning on some of the coins.

Great looking set! 893applaud-thumb.gif Very nice pics too. yay.gif Is your 71 worth crossing just to be able to put it up? Tough coin...

Thanks for the nice comments. I really prefer the RB coins or nicely toned browns over the full reds. My budget prefers it that way too. wink.gif

I think my least favorite is the 1870, thought it's the one I paid the most for.

My 1871 is in an MS62 RB holder. I'm not sure about the grade but I don't think it would keep the RB designation on crossover. I also have a RB half cent in an ANACS holder that doesn't look RB. Is (was) ANACS a bit easy on the RB designation? I'll probably just upgrade the 1871 when a better one comes along.

It may have been that your RB coin has turned in the holder to a BN. Depending on the environment that it is stored in this can be a common problem. Also, it is my opinion that the RD, RB, and BN designations are the least consistent designations among the TPGs.

It could have turned in the holder. I got it from a Heritage auction and you never know how much red you are going to get from their pictures. The reverse is more red than the obverse.

And here's the reverse.
