how do i get sticky tape residue off of these medals????

two large bicentennial medals one is .999 fine silver and has tape sticky residue on it

 

on one side how do i safely remove the residue??

 

 

another medal is bronze with the same sticky tape residue how do i remove the residue?

 

both the above coins have matte surfaces

 

any help would be greatly apprecaited

Soak them in pure acetone.

 

And then scrub the heck out of 'em with a wire brush. 893whatthe.gif

 

I can not recommend scrubbing your coins with a wire brush.

What about those adds that sell ancient, corroded coins and for only $4.95 more, you can purchase your own wire brush to clean 'em up a bit?
