2,750 year old coin discovered

One of those Lydian coins are on my list of dream coins. Probably will never spring for the electrum or golden versions, but I'd love to get one of the silver ones. Something like "the first coin struck... ever" is a really cool selling point.

Yes they overstated the age by about 100 years. And while it is an interesting find if it isn't associated with an archaeological site it is not of great historical importance. Since it was found in Bulgaria it now belongs to the government under their laws and the finder will get nothing for it. it will either wind up in a museum or possibly end up on the black market with the proceeds lining a politicians pocket.
