I like to buy things I don't want to collect at low prices and sell to dealers, allowing me to buy more.

About $50k less than I have spent in the two previous years... I find great enjoyment "dumpster diving" and finding coins at great prices.... Coins that I would have thrown plenty of cabbage at just a couple years ago!

To be mindful of the potential for a P contest I will say thousands. This past year was a whopper relative to my usual spend. I also sold my baseball cards to consolidate my collection into just coins. I prefer metal over paper though there are a few cards I might buy some day.

 

A dealer moving inventory will generally spend more than a collector of course. If I recall from some threads there are some here who spend hundreds of thousands.

Given that I buy/sell frequently (but not a dealer) I'd say around $15k-$20k, of which I've kept probably 25%ish.

Same here. I've spent $11k and probably sold/will sell more than that. I have become more focused and very picky.

About $30,000 in gold and silver as well as nice Morgan Dollars. I converted some stock assets to coins and precious metals. I sure hope it works out for me.
