Cant figure out what this coin is at all, Please Help?!

2 posts in this topic

I recently bought this coin at a show and the lady that sold it to me had no idea what it is. She only sold it to me for me being young and into coins. But the Obverse has a face that i can't make out who, with 12 stars going all the way around her. The Reverse has the initials "J.R.M", and the word "LYON". Also it has two stems with leaves on it and some kind of symbol or something in the middle of the Reverse. About 1/4th smaller than a US Dime. Please help me find out EXACTLY what this is, or any ideas. Thanks

I believe it is a button (with a broken or removed shank) manufactured by J Revinet Mesoniat of Lyon Mexico. The ANS has one with a Mexican themed obv and the JRM LYON reverse.
