As I was perusing eBay.Canada for interesting items, I came across this listing. I know Anaconda is a PCGS forum member and is known for some very fine coins (and a sense of humor), I thought some of you would enjoy this one!

Yeah, I enjoyed that when I saw it a while back. I enjoyed laughing at his asking price.... 893whatthe.gif

Actually, I've seen another recently in a 65 holder that is not only prettier but will cost about....uh...let me do the calculation...more than 20X less. Which do you think I'd be more interested in? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

It's a nice coin and the description is fun to read. The final asking price of $2300 does not seem all that unreasonable if the coin glistens in-hand as it appears to in the photo. Truthfully, I'd be tempted if I didn't already own a 67 in that piece, and a damn gorgeous one at that. grin.gif (In fact, my 13-S is my most tightly held coin. It's the coin where "all others would go" before I sold it.)

Mark, it didn't sell (at least not thru the auction as listed). With 0 bids, it looks like he closed it early for any number of reasons, including a deal off-eBay!

OK, what is it I'm not seeing here? I see the STARTING price of $20,000....that is a far cry from the "reasonable" $2300...

jom, I'm sure you read the last paragraph of the listing...the $20k was a bid "test" but for what reason I couldn't say.

And I'm glad you posted here! Wanted to know if this was your work of art or do you have competition in the ST (spray tone) business? Sorry but I couldn't resist. blush.gif
