The coin has AU-58 detail, with only slight rub on the high points, showing up as the bright white areas in the image. However, it seemed lackluster to me. I think an AU-58 coin should have about 95% of the remaining luster, and an AU-50 should have about half the luster, which is where this coin was.

 

That said, I did get more than "trends" for AU-50.... I guess I could have gotten more, but I generally price coins according to what I paid for them, not for what a price guide states. But the good news is, the buyer was very happy, and wants to buy more coins from me.

Wow! nice piece,while the luster is lacking a little bit(emphasize little),I think you could have still gotten AU-58,or at least AU-55 money for it.
