Below is a updated listing of Auction Catalogs sales held between 1992 and 2011. Most are Bowers and Merena from the early 1990s. The catalogs list date of sale and the focus of each sale then sorted by the auction house.

 

Auction Catalogs are a great source of numismatic information with some of the most important sales of recent times represented in the listing.

 

There is something in this sale for everyone, Early Coppers, Small Cents, Bust and Liberty Seated Coinage plus Classic US Gold of all denominations and mintmarks. Patterns, California Gold, Washingtonia etc are all to be found , not to forget coins of Canada, Great Britain, Mexico, Russia and other countries.

 

Famous collections such as Benson and Bass can be found along with other “event” sales such as Brother Jonathan that created a huge buzz when they hit the auction block.

 

Also included in the listing is a selection of early Longacre Ledgers that are a great source of Indian and Flying Eagle Cent variety information.

 

 

The list is sorted by auction house and year. The prices have been heavily discounted but are negotiable, especially if more than one issue is ordered. The asterisk * means that the catalog includes the prices realized from the sale, an important piece of information.
