the 3 cent piece is nice.. but my favorite is the New Rochelle Commem!!! WOWOW! That coin is jaw dropping... the other 3 are nice but those are my 2 favorites smile.gif

That's a "streak" of copper from the alloy used in making the planchet. Sometimes the copper in the alloy is exposed and you get these "streaks". Common on 3cnickels, buffalo nickels, Copper/nickel IHC's etc.

 

Someone else will most likely offer a more "professional" explanation.

 

Some nice coins Thomasz. Quite a few "lookers" there. smile.gif

the new rochelle is a later die state but it has great eye appeal and is semi prooflike with an above average strike thumbsup2.gif

the robinson is one of my fav coins as it is a one year type coin so you need it and this coin has really good eye appeal
