Doesn't look proof.

The 1904 double eagle is by far the most common date in the entire $20 series in prooflike. The entire Liberty head $20 series is actually quite available in PL (and there are a surprising number of DPLs graded as well). That one appears semi-pl at least, and in hand may be fully PL. These are usually fairly low grade, 62 and 63 are the most common. Because they are so common (nearly every medium-to-large auction has at least a couple), the premiums are fairly small. I would expect a 63PL to go for about $2500 (obviously depending on the price of gold at the time).

The thing to be careful with these - not all 63PL's are the same. I've looked at quite a few, and there is a huge difference in quality within the 63 range. At the 63 grade, there are quite a few marks that can impede the mirrors. There is also quite a wide range of quality with the mirrors.
