Ok JamminJ, I know you won't like this coin, BUT....

it is one of the first Crusader coins minted, and they are all crude, so, its condition is actually quite good for the Tancred series of coins, and I dig that patina! headbang.gif I'm going to be bidding on it. thumbsup2.gif

Actually I do like that one. flowerred.gif

When does the sale close?

I think the difference is that while it's environmentally damaged, its uniformly distributed throughout. I hate couns with uneven strike and incomplete legends. A mean looking dude with a sword also helps.

Any paticular part of TJ's anatomy you're willing to trade for this coin? I suggest his liver as it's in a similar state of preservation to this coin. insane.gif

That's actually a pretty cool looking coin, and that dude has some serious eyeball issues. I like that. insane.gif

As for what part of TJ to use... 893scratchchin-thumb.gif I'd suggest you just lop off anything that is convenient, feed it to some hungry dog and then wait till it passes it to read the excrement...that will give you the answer. 893whatthe.gif

Sale closes the 13th. What do you mean when you are referring to enviromentally damaged? The patina? Or did I miss something? There really isn't too much left of TJ's anatomy that is salvagable. I've often thought the loose skin of this "turkey neck" might come in useful to burn victims, or the hair on this butt might go to that cancer charity that uses human hair for wigs, but all in all, his trade in value is low. confused-smiley-013.gif

I was referring to both the patina and the porosity evident on the reverse.

Poor TJ, a lifetime of hard livin' and no body parts left to salvage.

The die maker probably used the same punch for both the eyes and the chain mail vest. Rather cool, indeed.

There has been a rumor going around that TJ died yesterday. Something to do with a leak in his Depends, bare feet, and a power cord. I'm still waiting to hear from him. I fear the worst, but hope for the best. 893crossfingers-thumb.gif

I've tried getting back on CU twice, some time ago, but evidently my "wit" is easily to identify, and my detractors report me to THE MAN asap, and my account is killed. To be honest with you, when I do look at that forum now, its seems to of gone down hill greatly. Nothing like the good old days when GoldenState was around. I have been trying to bribe Arch with booze and porn to let me back into the WC, but so far he won't budge. confused-smiley-013.gif

That's a shame. I can see how you might be easy to identify, even without the dancing palm tree.

Watching the one on one battle between you and Truthteller over here tired me out, but I always enjoyed the CU forum battles.

TJ, are you communicating with us from your room at the YMCA in Sacramento, or from the Great Beyond? 893whatthe.gif

That was ONE WHACKED QUESTION, oh Thingy. You need to be banned from here too. How many places you banned from now? 27_laughing.gif

I know the feeling, I also spend a good deal of my employer's time surfing. confused-smiley-013.gif

I don't know how I wasted the day away before the internet. I think it was in those primitive games.

I hit magazines and books to kill the time. My favorite titles were the Economist, Wall Street Journal, Popular Mechanics, PC Magazine and Barron's.
