Has anyone ever seen/purchased/held a true "black beauty" toned Peace $ ?

 

I have seen every other type of toned Peace $ - EOR, crescent, rainbow, rim, dimpled, bag, envelope - or whatever name you can give to toning but I have never seen one with an obverse or reverse with completely black toning that has greens/blues peeking out from under the black toning...

 

Its becoming a "holy grail" so to speak for me...

 

I though I got lucky last week at a local honey hole but alas the Peace $ was just evenly charcoal-grey toned on both sides... not black.

I've not seen any and I don't find them to be very attractive anyway. I'd rather see some nice colors along with some darker rim tone and whiter centers.

Joe Kaminzski Rare Coins had one about six months ago. I think Joe's asking price was $750. It wasn't for me.

@coinman - three in total. 1 fully dimpled and 2 partially dimpled.

 

I saw all of Joe's toned Peace $ 9 months ago... I guess I missed that one.
