Misplaced Mint Mark or what ?

Hi Everyone

here's a question for all the error specialist,

the attached image has what appears to be a misplaced mint mark, I aint sure if it is or not! any help would be greatly appreciated!

at least I didn't pay anything extra thinking that it my have been a misplaced mint mark,guess I have to get myself a new loupe and just keep looking,

I'm not an expert but that is strange....

 

Doesn't look like a mint mark since it looks to enlongated to be an "O" mint mark, but I'm not buying the damage theory. It looks to... whats the word "perfect" maybe, to be damage...

 

But it's hard just by looking at the pic...

Is the oddity raised up or stamped into the surface? If you collect one series long enough you'll run into all kinds of weird stuff on coins.
