Broady, of all the patterns I have ever seen, that quarter has to be my all time favorite. I love the design on both and the toning is exceptional!

Very Nice Half Dollar Jim.

I don't mean to be a party pooper - but is it real?

That's a good question. The reverse photo makes it look like it has a reeded edge...that may just be the lighting or something though.

.... gobust told me it's probably an O-102 variety. The weight and diameter are correct and it doesn't stick to a magnet lol but that's not always a guarantee. This one has a lettered edge with a few reeds breaking up the phrases. My photos, as usual, are horrible, but the coin does have a lot of gold to the patina..... but the original silver can be seen at angles. GOD BLESS...

P.S. Congratulations on that 1794, TradeDollarNut...... what a fantastic coin.

Ok, I have to know where you got this medal! It is an exquisite piece and I would love to own one, or all, of these pieces that were struck! Absolutely beautiful!

In my opinion, one of Weinman's most beautiful works. And, that's something considering the WLH and the Mercury Dime! Thanks for posting this medal. An absolutely beautiful example and something I have wanted for a very long time -- but have never really seen posted on these boards. (thumbs u

It's quite large. The metal is 3-1/2 ounces and is kinda rare with the paper work & box. I won this piece at an auction long ago as I too have wanted a superb example of this metal for many years. Thanks again....Joe
