I just bought a PF68 W cameo 1964 kennedy half NGC. I love this coin. Great deal too. Paid $28 PCGS price guide says $89. Plus, I bought it from R & I coins, I don't know if any of you have heard of them, but I have an $11 credit so I got it for $17!!! This should boost my registry set atleast 2 spots. as soon as I get the E-mail saying it's been added to my set I'll post a link.

That is a really nice Kennedy Proof, for a terrific price as well. Put it away because DCAM '64 Kennedy's are scarce and there has been a lot of Registry activity with Kennedy's in the past and I am sure that it will pick up again (see Attachment).

The attachment scan echos the CAM surface several times and there are a lot of scratches and junk in and on the slab. The coin really looks better than this. tongue.gif

Yeah, that is a REALLY good price IF it is a DCAM. Is this a DCAM or Cameo though. If it is a DCAM then I would snatch up as many as you can get at that price.

I'm just a newbie, but isn't the NGC equivalent of DCAM Ultra Cameo?

DCAM = UCAM. Only NGC knows their head from a hole in the ground with this and other cameo distinctions. PCGS makes CAM and DCAM designations with a dartboard. ICG and others make the distinctions, but I have less experience with them.

I don't think ICG knows anything about grading coins. I saw a PF70 Jefferson for $20, An NGC or PCGS graded PF70 would probably be worth 3 times that. I guess people feel the same way I do, that ICG can't grade coins. I really hate ICG. Also there slabs are totally screwed up looking.

Just new poster , not new collector, but agree with postings about ICG and the like's grading. I do think ,however, that of all services out there for VARIETIES that ICG is probably the best --since all of CONECO'S ATTRIBUTERS DO all of ICG'S Variety Attributions.

I bought most of my Franklins from Rick 10-15 years ago. He knows his business. He maybe a little pricey, but he gets the best. He is very well known and is the expert in regards to Cameo Franklins.
