Why does this coin look so gold?

here

Sorry if this is a naive question, but I have been trying to study up on toning of coins, luster and so forth. I have seen pictures of monochromatic toning that looked gold but it had a crackly dull like finish and wasn't shiny.

The color of the picture isn't set right, too much yellow.....even the slab looks yellow. The coin is most likley blast white unless it specifies some light gold toning in the auction description.

KC is right about the image. It was likely taken with indoor lighting and the camera setting was not changed to match the lighting. The coin is probably dipped white.

Yes it's the light source and the shine is due to a good high speed wire brushing using a drill ( whizzing) or some other type of extreem cleaning to trick unknowing suckers that it was nice. Either way it worth its weight in silver, not gold. There' a real even gold toned 1921 Peace dollor in NGC65 with bid reserve of $1371 (didn't write lot #, too pricey for me), .. see Exclusively Internet Sale at www.heritagecoin.com under Peace Dollars 'till 10:30 tonite. Really nice example of true certified natural toning of the type mentioned.
