SEGS 1934-S Peace dollar w/ Dip Residue. So, How's it Coming Along?

3 posts in this topic

I sent a SEGS "dip residue" (on the insert even) for curration a few months back. It was politely returned, still holdered, without any work done.

I then noticed the same coin was written up in an article featured in Coin World (or, possibly Numismatic News) by the head currator of NCS. I took the article and a PM I had received and resubmitted the Peace dollar for curration.

I figured it was possibly not clear on the NCS Submittal form what it was I wanted done (curration and subsequent holdering, either NGC (long shot), or NCS the first time I sent it in.

It's now been over a month since the follow up submission and I've heard nothing.

How's it coming along?

Thanks Chris, The Peace dollar has been returned, once again, with no work done. Oh well... I got to be honest... I had no idea "dip residue" was such a bugger to remove!

(The coin is now offered, at face, on eBay:)

And yes, it is somewhat ugly!
