RD = Red

RB = Red Brown

BN = Brown

 

These are common terms for copper coins to denote the amount of red displayed on the coin. The price difference between brown coppers and blazzing red coppers can be substantial.

 

The 1834 designations after the date refer to particular varieties. Some times die were modified or different obverse and reverse die combinations were used that are much rarer than the common variety. When this happens, they typically add a seperate listing.

 

The Type referse to a Type coin or a generic coin from the series that is not a key or semi key date. It gives you a general idea of what a common coin from the series in each grade is worth.
