first things first... IS IT A COIN !!??

It looks like a Japanese koban (specifically, a one ryoh from the Tempoh Era [1837-58]). The green and brown discoloration lead me to think that it is a counterfeit or replica. For your reference, the Krause catalog number for the genuine article is 22b.

If it really is a .568 gold/.432 silver coin and not a brass replica, it should weigh about 11.25 grams.

From what I can see, I tend to agree with Shiroh both about it's being a brass replica, and what it is a replica of. Your coin is about 33mm wide, which matches Shiroh's attribution.

Replica koban are very common in Japan in actual size, oversize and undersize versions. I have an oversize replica of Krause C#22d, purchased at the Osaka Coin Show last year. The real coin is about 21mm wide and consists of 3.3g of .574/.426 gold/silver. My replica is 39mm, and consists of 12.3g of brass. (Retail price: ¥300)
