New QX3 Microscope.....just found something!!!!

Well I just got me new toy in after hearing about the QX3 Digital Blue Computer microscope I decided to look at some coins under 60X magnification to see what I could see and after a few minutes of playing around I threw and uncirculated 1954-S Lincoln cent on the slide.

 

Right off the bat I noticed that the mint mark had some doubling too it. I thought it was most likely an RPM, but I had to check out coppercoins.com just to make sure.

 

 

So you take a look at the two images and let me know if you think I have attributed it correctly

Cool! I reckon you've got the attribution right. The QX3+ is an awfully good microscope considering how cheap it is. Let us know if you find anything else!

WOW! i didn't know they still made these! i wanted one last year and NO ONE had it because they said they weren't being made anymore.

 

where did you get it? are you happy with how it installs and how to use it?

I found another RPM today on a 1957-D cent.....I looked on coppercoins.com and saw several examples that looked like they could be the one.....here's a picture:

but this is seriously dangerous for me. a certain member of the family thinks money should be spent on important stuff and coins aren't important (haven't we all heard that before?). it's easy to stuff an envelope containing a coin under my shirt, but i don't think this will fit without being a wee bit obvious....i must think of a plan....
