GTG: 1926-D Peace Dollar (just received grade from NGC)

Absolutely impossible to tell from those pictures. I predict you will get grade guesses between AU-55 and MS-65. I'm guessing it is somewhere between those bounds (although, if you pressed me, the discoloration on the cheek makes me lean towards AU-58).

I agree here with Jason; it is difficult to ascertain the grade based on the photographs. With this said, I personally wouldn't grade the higher coin higher than MS64, citing the somewhat muted luster. So, I'll agree with a range of AU-55 to MS64.

I will just throw this out there – MS 64 . I think it is better than Au 58 , but as the other guys said there is no way to tell based on your photos. It looks like there are a couple of grade limiting marks on the Obverse. I think this coin looks real nice in hand , your photo did not come close to capturing the true tone of the coin .

It graded AU-55, which i think is accurate looking at the coin in hand.

I was concerned about the blobs in front of libertys mouth, and I am relieved it is in a problem free holder.

The color is spectacular.

Glad to know I was close. I guess I'm not going crazy. That's a relief.

Well that is the last time I am going to grade a coin based on bad pictures .

Unless you would get a nice premium for the tone the cost to submit this is about what the coin is worth .

I had a 5 coin submission coupon, so I submitted 2 coins I otherwise wouldn't have. And yes, I believe this coin would have a nice premium.

That toning up top forces you to not even pay attention to that blob or any other blemishes.

That is a really nicely toned 26. Congrats!
