Are there any rare/high dollar WWII Nazi Germany coins?

Silver coinage was produced up until the begining of the war, then zinc coinage took over. Several of the Ghetto and Camp coinage are considered very scarce, yet the most expensive are only $100 to $150 in value.

IF TT said anything on topic, or informative, could someone let me know? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

He said that the coinage minted during the time President Bush has been in power could be considered Nazi coinage.

OK, he really said: Silver coinage was produced up until the begining of the war, then zinc coinage took over. Several of the Ghetto and Camp coinage are considered very scarce, yet the most expensive are only $100 to $150 in value.

Why don't you unblock TT, you dipwod, he is very knowledgable about coins, offers excellent replies, and you are just being obtuse by blocking him.

Did TJ say anything useful? If he did, someone let me know please. I won't count on it though.

He said if you are interesting in collecting coins from terrorist nations like the Nazi regime, you should consider french coins.

Actually, he said: Why don't you unblock TT, you dipwod, he is very knowledgable about coins, offers excellent replies, and you are just being obtuse by blocking him. But I bet you knew that. wink.gif

I checked my catalog and it lists no coins in gold.

Two, three and five mark coins were all struck in silver until 1939, with the general trend of the earlier and higher value coins having 0.900 fine silver and the others with 0.625. As TT said there are none that are particulary high valued.

According to catalog values the toughest type, at least in UNC, is KM80 the 1933 450th anniversary of Martin Luther 5M coin which checks in at $250-$300. There are a few specific date/mintmark coins like the 1936G 10 pfennig (KM92) which can run up to $400 in UNC but for the most part catalog values run between $10-$40. Circulated coins can commonly be found in junk bins.
