What do you think about this auction and his reasons for it?

Wild. I'd think he'd have better luck contacting all of the auction houses. confused-smiley-013.gif

The holder on that coin is like a bride wearing a dirty wedding dress.

It's funny, I have no reason to believe the coin isn't authentic, but my knee-jerk reaction to the image was that it looked like a Gallery Mint replica! 893whatthe.gif

Just for fun I tried doing a search on eBay to see if that coin came up for auction recently, but to no avail.

I'm thinking by the way the auction description was phrased that the "seller" is the rightful owner of the coin and someone stole it. Perhaps someone close or a family member. So the seller is hoping someone has seen it and will let him know how they obtained it or where they saw it.

Hi Guys,

I think the poster of the auction is suffering from 'passers remorse'.....He missed his chance to grab this piece when it was available, and has now loosened up the purse strings and would like a shot at the coin.
