Most of the German and Austrian stuff seems pretty rough, and in any event there's no way I would bid on any lots sight unseen with pictures of such low quality.

 

If I had to choose one to bid on, I'd go with lot 252 - the EF 1626 Bavaria 2 kreuzer.

Hey JJ, you are right, the images leave something to be desired. He sent me the actual catalogue, and they are some what better. I mentioned this to someone before, not sure if it was you or not, but if you don't get Harlan Berk's catalogues, you should. They can't be beat as far as image quality, and would go great in any reference library. I haven't purchased anything from them in 2 years, and I'm a bit surprised they still send them to me, because the put some $$$ into their catalogues. Hopefully Malloy will consider a resdesign of his whole site at some point. It isn't very user friendly.

Yes, I was the one you mentioned Berk to.

 

He never replied to an inquiry I made about a coin on his website so I've never gone back to browse. Probably worth it to go back and try to weasel a couple of auction catalogs from him.
