1st American Coin & Currenecy, Inc

Anyone aware of the company called 1st American Coic & Currency, Inc? I have received a number of coins from a relative that were purchased from them. I can find no recored of their existance. The coins, mostly Franklin half dollars , are in plastic sheaths. Most are labeled "MS65 Proof", but they are not sealed. They appear very nice, but I can't believe they are all this grade. She paid in the range of $40-$50 each. I don't know how many years ago they were purchased. Any insight would be appreciated.

I've never heard of them but it is probably a fly-by-night company since the coins are all way overpriced assuming that they are common proofs.

Off-hand I don't know anything about them, however, I can tell you that the label of "MS65 Proof" mixes the terminology in numismatics inappropriately. Business strike coins, those that receive an MS designation, are not also called proof. Likewise, proof coinage is not given the MS designation when graded. So, are the coins proof (they would look like mirrors) or are they business strikes (they would look frosty)?
