SPAM from Silver Trades/Proxibid

As with most of you, I find SPAM annoying. How is Silver Trades obtaining personal email addresses??? I've never heard of them, and don't like the fact that somehow they obtained my email address.

If somebody at Silver Trades became a member here, they looked at your profile

Wrong. My personal email is not in any online profile.

There is, in fact an email address included in his profile here. And this thread is on the wrong forum.

If you have ever registered for a Proxibid auction, they probably can get it - especially if you ever bid on one of their auctions on the Proxibid network.

hit the bottom of the email where it says "Unsubscribe" if it bugs you.

+1

And if you still receive emails after that, contact proxybid and see if they know what is going on.

Worst case is someone, somewhere hacked into their system and sold a list of email addresses to an email spamming solicitation agency.

Happened to me twice and got over 100 stupid spam emails a day because of it. :pullhair:
