Can you make out the name before Elisa in the legend? The last part of it looks to me like it's RVIDVS. confused.gif

The only Elisa I found on a coin was Napoleon's sister from the Italian state of Lucca. Definitely not that.

Hi Warren,

 

You have a Spain gold ducado circa 1470 with portrait of Ferdinand and Isabella. The 'S" is Sergovia mint. Wavy planchet, probably a Fine grade. Might be a larger gold, but the reverse image is blurred and cannot tell for sure. Value is about $200 and up, depending on the denomination and true grade. Listed in Cayon #2406, this coin does not have a date.
