"Nevadaman" FS Jeff Reg Set takes off...

Breaking down whom, at the top of the registry, needs what, poses an interesting question? Corso and JHF already have just about everything for the exception of the 60-D. Corso needs the 61-D and for JHF, it would be an upgrade! Everyone else needs those two coins as well including Overby, Krispytoast and Brown. Corso could also use an upgrade in the 54-S and 63-D!

Krispy needs almost half the collection, 29 to be exact!

40-S, 41-S, 42, 44-S, 46-S, 47-DS, 48, 49, 50, 51-S, 52, 52-S, 53PDS, 54DS, 55PD, 56, 57-D, 58, 59, 60-D, 61PD, 62-D, 63-D.

Overby could use the 40-S, 47-D, 51, 52-S, 53-PD, 58, 60PD, 61-D and the 63-D.

LS Brown needs the 39-D, 40-S, 42-S, 47-D, 48, 49PD, 51 52PS, 53PDS, 54-D, 57-D, 58, 60-D, 61-D.

So the obviously big match up would be for the 60-D and 61-D.

The 40-S, 47-D, 52-S, 53PD and the 58 are needed by three of those guys.

While there are only two after the 42, 48, 49, 51, 52, 53-S, 54-DS and 57-D.

What's left? The 38PDS, 39PS, 40PD, 41PD, 42-D, 42-P, 43PDS, 44PD, 45PDS, 46PD, 47, 48DS, 49-S, 50-D, 51-D, 52-D, 54, 56-D, 57, 58-D, 59-D, 62, 63 and the 64P&D.

There's another twist to all this is with the recent arrival of the Billy Walser Collection on the market. And from that collection comes a few better coins and several duplicates. Some of the higher graded coins include the 48-D, 49-S, 54PS, 55-D, 57, 58-D, 59-D, 62, 64-D. The doubles that may come into play include the 39-D, 41-S, 42, 42-S, 46-S, 47-D, 48, 49, 50, 53DS, 54-D, 55, 57-D and another 60.

I haven't heard if any of the Walser collection has sold but if they're available, this could affect the prices.

Cheers!

Just got off the phone to Steve. He hadn't realized they were up and running with pics and bids (and that is what they are---BIDS). He hasn't put any reserve on them at this time. The auction runs for another 3 weeks.

Leo, Steve said that if your number hasn't changed, he's going to give you a call. Didn't say when, just would. Also invited him to come here and join us on the boards. Don't know if he will or not.

Also Leo, where is this Walser collection being auctioned off at? Would like to keep track of those hammer prices too.

David,

Walser offered his collection in the registry forum yonder but added that if it didn't sell then the coins would go to some dealer to be sold. In the past, David Lawrence Rare coins has sold a few of his coins. I've checked and haven't seen anything of his stuff there.

I don't believe those are real bids unless KT has his bids in. It's time to go and compare lists! grin.gif

Another thing, just who the he!! takes the pictures over at B&M? Yikes!

Nevermind Leo. Found them at DLRC. He had some nice Jeffs in the auction, but none that could/would compete at reg levels. None sold for over $1000.

Yea, those pics are comparable to Heritage! Maybe worse, huh? Course some of Steves FS Jeffs are sooo LDS, it hardly matters! confused-smiley-013.gif

P.S. Nice break-down Leo! Ray has my 58D and the 38 DDR and submitted both. We're hoping the 58 makes 67 (its a lock on FS with 6) and the 39 66 and FS. Should know before end of next week. If so, he wants them as they would upgrade his reg set with varieties. 893crossfingers-thumb.gif
