FUN it is !

I run across this coin in an auction and was struck by its cutiness :-)

the dragons seems to look like cute pet's more then a scary fire breathing monsters.

 

krause list for just $75 at UNC and I paid about $100, without carying at all for the value, just the wish to get to see it in person and add it to my collection.

 

KM 1107, its size somwhere bitween 1/4- 1/2 dollar size with a copper or bronze composition.

 

Krause wont list mintage or give any blurb about this 1,

but from its value I would assume is a common yr.

 

Ngc population is 8 peices with only 1 red.

but Im not sure what it means as I have other ngc coins that wont show on the list at all.

Also a friend was beatching about this is NOT RD,

I Dont care! I like it, i think somone "preserve" it, and did pretty good job.

as all my attempts to mess with copper turned much worse.

(usually turned puerple and thats if Im lucky)

 

Anyhow, I just wanted to share, and hope somone can add more Input about this coin or the creature fituring in the design for general knoledge.
