Where is the Competition?

Ok so I am getting tired of PCGS and Lincoln cents. Currently #25 on the PCGS 09-58 Registry but would be in the top 5 here. Where is everyone?

The registry across the street took off earlier than here. Things will continue to develop over time; an online registry is just an online registry.

I gave Rick Montgomery my two cents worth when I saw him at FUN:

 

1) score the early proofs

2) denomination type sets

3) build your own set

 

I forgot to tell him that promotion and prizes help (but he should already know that, shouldn't he!)

I lot of Lincoln collectors stick with PCGS because of the copper guarantee. However, since PCGS seems to have thrown away their grading guide, that may start changing.

 

I have bought a lot of early Large and Half Cents in NGC holders that looked as nice or nicer than their PCGS counterparts, and I think that more people will eventually realize this.

What does NGC have against gold dollars. I think every other gold denomination now has a registry set.
