Help with coin ??? Continental 1776 dollar

I Have a Continental 1776 Puter dollar that ive had since I was a little boy, about 30 years and I just figured out if its real, then its worth about $20,000 - $30,000 and I dont know where to start to see.I have some pics. i didnt know if i should mail it off or not. i do want to sell it.

A quick check will tell you your chances of it being real....

 

1. Check the sides for a line that goes around the coin. This would indcate it was a fake...

 

2. Look for copy stamped on the coin... even check the sides for it.

 

3. Weigh the coin and then compare it with wieghts of a real one.

Thanks, Well, you just answerd it perfect, I looked and it does say Copy very faintly around the edge. Thanks for the help. I am a little depressed but you saved me $45 to submitted for grading. As you can tell I am very new to collecting. I am getting into Morgan dollars right now.

Probably from the 60's like the one I have... I too thought that mine was real since there was no copy stamp on it.. till I looked at the rim and saw it..
