1955 Nickel with nice toning...

8 posts in this topic

Very colorful! I sold an EDS 1956 non FS Jeff with bullseye toning last year for $35 on the pcgs BST forum. That was an awesome coin and sadly, I never took a picture of it. It had it's marks but the strike and toning were just amazing for that date. There are coins that I have sold in the past that I would not hesitate buying back! That is, if I really wanted them back! 27_laughing.gif

Those 1955 and 1955-D nickels can have the weirdest and wildest toning. 1946 is another issue that can be that way. They are very tough to find in MS64 or higher. Nice piece, Bruce.

It's curious how with each series there are dated coins within that series that are prone to toning and others that are not.

For example, who has seen a pastel toned, lustrous 1959 Franklin?

Neat Jefferson and certainly a keeper! Nice find.
