Free listing for certain eBay members?

So, I got an e-mail on my eBay buying account for free fixed price listings from the 8th to the 18th. But...it's my buying account, and I have no intention of listing on it.

 

My selling account, however, did NOT get that e-mail, and does not have free fixed price listings.

 

Anybody else get that e-mail?

Yes.

 

I think this is being promoted to buyers on eBay in hopes they will begin selling on eBay.

 

It's an attempt to increase revenues.

I sell sporadically on eBay, but in very low numbers (maybe 10-15 items per year). I did receive the promotion email message.

i got one to and it was deleted. im just not interested in selling at this time

I sell very little and got the email as well. Probably based on volume.
