I have seen letter F reverse on my older pound coins, never knew there were 10! Is that for the Jubilee?

They only use 1 reverse for every year and I do not know if they have rules established on which to pick next. Link shows years when each of the reverse designs were used.

Agreed. It's the fourth portrait of Elizabeth to appear on British coins. I prefer the second or third to this. You can learn about and see them all here. Can't understand why they'd make her so austere and frowny on this new one!
