Silver Eagles

I was placing a collection of silver eagles on the registry and I noticed they mentioned a 2000 silver eagle millinium set, does anyone know what this is? I am new at this so forgive any screw up's I make.

Dr. D,

Welcome to the boards. I hope you enjoy it here.

To answer your question, in the year 2000 the U.S. mint issued a millennium coin & currency set that included a crisp uncirculated dollar bill, an uncirculated Sacagawea dollar coin, and an uncirculated silver Eagle dollar. Both of the dollar coins turned out to have a special finish and are recognized as such in the registry.

Yes, but I believe that the coins from the millennium sets have to be submitted still in the set, they cannot be removed from the sets before sending them to NGC.
