Would ANACS net grade it as high as a VF? There's quite a bit of detail in the hair and wings! I'll reestimate my guess to $4400!

It's hard to tell what is damage and what is planchet flaws.

 

Provided it's real, and I have no idea if it is, it looks like a very high grade coin - AUish.

 

Again, providing it's real, I would say you second estimate is probably low by a factor of 10.

 

Side note, at the recent Long Beach show they had an NGC graded SP68 example of this coin.
