All joking aside, I really do like the post. It's lots of fun to look back and attempt to understand what the collecting community valued when that catalog was contemporary. I sure would have loved to see how the early cent set was graded based on contemporary standards.

Interesting but if you did how exactly would you buy the coins? You would have a checking account and VISA's weren't available. You'd probably have to buy some early currency to take with you. Hopefully, that wouldn't cost you more than what the coins would be worth once you brought them back. 27_laughing.gif

i love the historical aspects and prices i bet there are many great articles inside too with much information not obtained or available elsewhere

 

information that would help any collector/numismatist be better and enjoy the hobby even more today!!!

 

 

every collector should have one/two/three of these scarce desirable publications
