Since we have seperate Quarter Proof Sets (Clad and Silver) will there be less demand for the 11 Coin Proof Set/Silver Proof Set?

Not any less from here. Just another set to get, the 5 quarters. Just do a subscription and you won't debate with yourself.

I'm just hoping they don't flood the market. I guess I'm hoping that with the extra sets of Quarters, the mintage of the proof sets will be lower... I can dream, right?

That's a lot of $5.00 shipping charges throughout the year.

Received my sets today, most of the coins are great but I did notice that some coins appeared to have been struck through dust? stray metal? I didn't open the plastic to investigate further. One of the Sac's appears to have a "Figure 8" near the "SS" on the obverse... it appears as though it was struck through dust or something.

Anyone else notice anything else?

I got my 10, 11 piece Proof sets today, and for the second time in a row one of the coins had be big fingerprint on it. Do the poeple who assemble the sets use gloves, or do they think that it is cool to leave their "signature" on the coins that they package? Are these poeple like dogs or male cats who that they have to lift their legs or tails in front of every other bush? 893frustrated.gif

Yup. They probably get a little giggle out of it. Fortunately, I think it's fairly rare. Unfortunately, I think that there are countless other ways that the sets are mishandled. I've had little fragments of plastic floating around in my proof sets many times, These hairline the coins. It's not a company with great QC implementation. Management spends too much time thinking of their public image and not thinking of the practices to improve it.
