MY COINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ignore the other one)

Just look! I am a new user here, and I just wanted to get some input on how my collection is going along. Just browse, and post what you think of them, preferably on individual ones. I just want some opinion. I scanned them, so I am sorry if they are blurry. These are merely a few of my favorites that I picked up cheap! I also have indian cents, buffalo nickels, mercury dimes, proof sets, and whatever floats your boat.

-The first is a mis-struck memorial cent. I got it for $2.00. How much off-center is it perhaps? How much might it be worth?

-The second is an 1857 flying eagle cent with what I think is a die error.

-The third is an 1893 Columbian commemorative half dollar in wonderful condition. What kind of condition do you think it is in?

-The last one is a classic 1922 peace dollar.

Thanks for your time. At request I can post some more. Thank you. grin.gif

Welcome to the forums!

These are fairly common and sell between $1-$5. They are probably the most common error. Still, they are neat!

The "die error" looks like a rim bump - in other words damage.

This coin looks to be AU in condition and cleaned. These are very popular, but very common. They were minted in 1892 and 1893. The 1893 coins did not sell well and were put into circulation where many people snatched them and cleaned them up. frown.gif

A nice EF looking coin.

Just curious, what are you using as a price guide and where are you buying your coins.

Looks like a decent lot. wink.gif Glad you put up the pics. I own a Columbian I've had since 1963 that started me in the hobby. It was a coin my grandfather pulled from circulation. There's enough variety in your post to know you're hooked. Be careful! It's a slippery slope. grin.gif
