Intercept Sheild Boxes...

5 posts in this topic

I purchased 8 boxes from fellow collectors, and they were difficult to come by to say the least. Be prepared to pay a moderate premium over the normal retail price. There was recently an eBay auction where five of the individual sleeves went for more than $30. At this point, unless you can find a collector who will sell directly, I recommend purchasing the double red boxes without the individual sleeves for certified coins. These hold 60 coins and can be had for around $12 still. Nevertheless, for the more expensive pieces, I recommend the double protection boxes.

I already 'put a call out' to a couple of friends I know in the antique conservation and restoration business. I got a lead I am checking out from a company that may have some in stock. They do not usually deal in coin collecting supplies so I doubt anyone knows they even have them; thus I may get lucky and find some at a reasonable price. I assume by your post; that I should 'stock up?'
