I may have over-paid a bit, but I liked the looks of this SLQ. What do you think? She's in a problem-free holder.

My experience with Carson City Seated Liberty Dimes and Quarters is that they (or at least the uncirculated versions) sell for a bit more than both the NGC and PCGS Price Guides. I recall losing a couple by a sizable difference when my bid was the price guide value.

i love the coin

perfect grey original surfaces

no serious nicks, cuts, marks, edge bangs, uneven toning and with above average eye appeal

basically a gem circulated coin

"GEM CIRC."

yea i agree i would call it vf-25

and all there vf-25+ no more no less

and sexy extremely SEXY with the 76 date and cc mintmark

if if only had this coin in your collection it would be good as

it is a stand alone coin

Grade in first post. She's a VF25.

I picked this one up on Heritage Tuesday night. Had to go to $125 though. A little high but the originality and honest wear won me over. The price guides are all over the place on this date in VF20. PCGS is $145 and NGC is $81!

Needless to say, these don't often go for $80 when problem-free.

Thanks for all the comments!

I think the NGC Guide is low based on what I have seen, and the PCGS Guide (at least the example that you cite) seems fair. As I indicated previously, I have seen several CC seated liberty coins sell for above guide for average grade coins (i.e. solid grade, not PQ per se, etc.). I like your coin.
