I'll take a stab at two errors:

It's not a reverse of '38 (aren't the steps wavy for those?)

It's a double die reverse - maybe a URS-12 from the Cherrypickers guide? (Thanks again to NGC for a great Numisquest prize in that book)

The price is way low due to the DDR.

How'd I do? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Hi JamminJ

Yes and you sure know how to take the wind out of the sail.

So here's my next question! What are the odds of Heritage mailing out THAT coin to someone if they don't catch it. Both ICG and Heritage missed the call unless they posted a wrong pic but a DDR........give me a break!

Sorry about that, you asked and I hated to see a good thread get no real replies. Your hint of three mistakes really helped, maybe next time I'll post them one at a time to give others a shot. You'd think the consignor would be raising Kain to get a proper description

Not bad for a darksider! acclaim.gif

You did great and congrats to you! But what will happen when a couple of bidders go bonkers over this thing and max bid it out to a couple of grand? Will they get the coin or another that actually fits the description. Sure, if I did a little digging in their website I'd find something pertaining to this senario but then again, "who cares" right? The results will only be a waste of everyones time.

But what if? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

It looks like an AU58 anyhow! grin.gif

Well Leo---since you brought it to the boards attention, I may as well fess up to having won the bid on this Jeff. I too caught the "mistakes" with the listing the same day it was put up. Held back on my bid until the last minute.

Will find out in the next week or two if they will honor the bid. Really hope so as this is a real gem of a DDR.
