Pretty little crescent toner arrived today.

A nice flashy fully lusterous and colorful toner. Picked this up on Ebay on the cheap. What are your thoughts on it?

I like it, but the reverse takes it out of gem range for me. There is too much chatter in the reverse, even though the obverse usually carries the coin. I would grade it 64+. Given the weight placed on the obverse by most TPGs, I wouldn't be surprised to see it come back in a gem holder.

Very pretty coin. It's well struck and the toning is nice and pleasing to look at. I'd give it a 64 myself.

Delightful coin! It looks "gem" to me.

A sharply struck 1881-S, which is par for the date and mint mark. An easy MS65. Beautiful rainbow crescent toned Reverse. I like the Obverse toning as well. It's a *star* in my book.

I personally would probably slab it. I think it would receive a star if submitted to NGC (or maybe a grade bump from PCGS).
