First time selling... advice?

Hi,

Your 1830 and 1808 should be priced $10 less each. Solid VG on the 1830, Good+ on the 1808. The 1836 has reverse problems such as a gash on the eagle's beak and some heavy discoloration, which usually lowers the price significantly. The 1836 should be priced about $25.00. Not terribly scarce coins at this grade level.

Cool, thanks for the note.

The coins are in my possession and I did the scanning,

but they are on consignment.

My starting prices are "his prices",

and he'll be ok if they don't sell.

I take it the scans were large enough and clear enough?

Coins and pricing aside, I liked the listings. The scans are quite a bit better than normal for Ebay listings, the layout is clean, and the shipping and payment are clearly explained. The only thing I would ask clarification on if I were actually bidding is your "satisfaction guaranty". Since some buyers are irresponsible or unreasonable, I wouldn't expect you to make that guaranty to me as a bidder. I would only ask what your return policy was should I get the coin and find something distracting that wasn't apparent in the scan (hairlines, cleaning, tooling, etc). I think a stated policy along the lines of "full refund less Ebay, Paypal, shipping fees if not as described and I'm notified within 3 days of receipt of coin", or something along those lines would be adequate, and would increase the likelyhood I'd bid. BTW - If I wanted the coin, I'd email you and ask, but I don't think everyone would.

I'm sure you realize, but in case you didn't......selling on consignment will charge the fees to YOUR card.

Yep... in fact, I'll be handling all the fees and receiving all the money...

I'll pay the owner the net after fees and consignment percentage.

(And it looks like I may be giving him a few of his coins back!) grin.gif

I'll be more specific in the future on the "satisfaction guarantee"...

I think I just meant "return the coin for a full refund, if not satisfied".
