This is a Franklin given to me 30 years ago for next to nothing by a coin collector/Dealer friend who was an excellent mentor. He knew I was a toned coin lover and saved it for me.

 

The colors are close here but actually a tiny bit more golden.

I would love to see better lit pictures of that coin. It looks like a stunner. And, since we're on the subject, here's one of mine:

I like the OP's Franklin Half Dollar very much. With the luster that I am interpreting from the photo, I bet it really pops in hand. With this said, you may want to use more lights. I recommend sending this to Shane (Kryptonitecomics) for imaging. He can show the coin's true colors (pun intended). lol
