Unusual Peace Dollar NGC-MS65

Recent pick up.

 

I don't have good imaging equipment, but here is NGC's pic

These photos are poor representations, but at least better than nothing.

 

In hand, the coin is the first non-proof coin I have ever seen where the relief (in this case Liberty on the obverse) appears cameo-like and almost matte-proof like.

 

The field toning is not as dark as in the NGC pic, but still dark but with some violet and orange tones.

 

It is very unusual in appearance and more bag marks than I would expect in a MS-65 graded coin.

 

If not for the obverse with the drastic "cameo" vs the field toned appearance I would not like it.

Here is my photo. In hand it is a remarkable contrast of Liberty with is a stunning white against the toned field. This looks like a matte proof.
