I had to resubmit a few dime I knew were not graded right.

Here are the before (top) and after (bottom) of the same coins.

I guess graders are infallible.

3 for 3 pcgs graded screw-ups! This really goes to show how credible all those pcgs registry sets are! 27_laughing.gif

WOW! Great stuff. I've had a few resubmissions change one point AND get the correct designation, but never two points! Well, I have had a couple BB'd coins get correctly graded a second time around! 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

This is precisely why I don't submit many coins. I can see a change in designation, say, re a liner FH or no FH on an SLQ, though I wouldn't buy such a coin in the first place. I could also see a one point grading difference. This happened to me once when I submitted a Walker, came back MS 65. I thought it was nicer than that, sent it in for in-holder regrading & it came back MS 66.

Unless you're dealing with a really tough series to grade, like Capped Bust Halves, I think a 2 point difference between submissions of the same coin is not acceptable. I don't know many coins where someone who knows how to grade them can't tell the difference between a MS 64& a MS 66. That being said, I do not collect moderns.
