Golf is a sport. An eagle in golf is when you put the ball in the hole in two attempts under par.

So say par is 5 strokes, eagle would be putting the ball in the hole with 3 attempts(strokes)

I'm not being sarcastic....just answering your question, unless you were being sarcastic, then disregard this.

What's "golf?"

It's that big body of water that has a slimy black film from time to time.

Chris

PS. It doesn't matter to me what I collect. It can be Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, Buddhist or whatever, just as long as she has plenty of money.

You could choose "Any denomination when appropriate."

Actually I think you are referring to a "gulf."

But.....I thought "gulf" was the hobby name for the difference of opinion between a buyer and a seller? Buyer says the coins is "VG" and the seller says it's "BU," so there's a gulf.

Our golf courses mostly have pooping geese, very few eagles.

The eagles live on the plantation next door and come swooping down in my backyard for the squirrels.

Around here, you get a one stroke credit for hitting a goose with your ball and two strokes if you kill the pest. (One of Donnie Trump's golf courses is a chip shot away from the house.)

What did US Airways Pilot "Scully" Sullenberger score when he took out that whole flock?

I used to use a SLQ from 1927 as a ball marker, I never looked at it when I put it down...but if it came up tails (eagle side) 9 chances out of ten I'd make the putt.

My friend killed a duck sitting on the water with a low t-ball shot...the club house charged him a $10 replacement fee. He didn't really mind because the ball ricochet off the ducks back and rolled to within 3' of the pin.

When we finished the hole and walking to the next hole, we saw a maintenance man come out with a fishing rod & reel and was making casts at the dead duck to snag it and bring it to shore,

We don't have golf courses in Florida, and we don't have pooping geese either. We have gulp courses with gators who think the gulp balls are marshmallows.

You've got it all wrong! Eagles come after birdies, not squirrels. Squirrels are in a mulligan.

i dunno, i like bowling cause the balls are bigger and the pins are easier to hit :)

Yeah, but have you ever tried getting the ball out of a sandtrap with a wedge?

Isn't that why bowling balls have holes -- so you can insert the explosives and blast them out?

(Hmmm....sorry to have gotten this post off-topic, but it seems to have benefited.)
