New to the boards...pic of a nice toned Jefferson...

Welcome to the board nOoBiEeE. That’s a nice Jeff you posted. thumbsup2.gif

It’s funny that you mentioned TomB, as I spent the day with him at the GSNA show on Thursday, and showed him a few of my toned proof Jeff's. I hope you enjoy posting over here.

nOoBiEeE,

Great coin with beautiful toning. I noticed the nickel below your moniker and thought, "wow"! I was pleasantly suprised when the same one uploaded.

I can easily see why it got a star designation but I was a bit surprised that it is cameo. It seems to me that the toning obscures the cameo contrast somewhat. Does the cameo stick out more in person?

Regardless, I love the coin!! Thanks for sharing.

As far as getting kudos by using TomB's name... forget about it. His posts are as dead as a tomb. grin.gif27_laughing.gif

Actually, that statement is about as far from the truth as one can get.

p.s. TomB, was using "tomB" just a coincidence or a play on letters. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Morning all,

Thanks for the great welcome and people said this place was quiet.. grin.gif Just a little background, I had first started buying gold coins thinking they would be a great investment for the future but after finding this forum and the "other" forum, the bug bite me and, well, I became a coin addict. shocked.gif My main collecting interest is now toned Jefferson Nickels. My Toned Jefferson Nickels

EZ_E: Yup, the cameo shows much better in person then in the pic itself. I picked this one up raw for either $0.25 or $0.50 at a local coin shop along with 2 others that have that same type of toning

Wihlborg: I was also at the show Thursday and stopped off at TomB's table for a few minutes to say hi. Jeremy had introduced me to him at the Parsippany show last month and was happy to see a friendly face at the GSNA show. Really nice guy and the coins he has are pretty amazing as well.

Once again, thanks for the welcome everyone... thumbsup2.gif
